This Center for Excellence in Math and Science is a 33,000 square foot STEM building that includes 17 classrooms, four science labs, and a flexible lab space called the Bobbie and Dave Ferraro Innovation Center. The building houses all math and science instruction for grades 7-12 and includes dedicated lab space for students in kindergarten through 6th grade.
This new space is already having a huge impact on the school community as the STEM curriculum is being reimagined. The Upper School has added AP Physics (C), the biomedical curriculum is being redesigned, and more lab experiences are being added to all science classes. Educators also plan to utilize the new Math & Science Center to build on their current robotics extracurricular program, VEX Robotics, by expanding the offering to lower grades.
