After injury and lengthy hospital stays, patients need time to recuperate, rehabilitate. Though the traditional hospital setting plays a vital role in emergent care, once patients are stabilized, a rehab hospital often better meets their needs.
Knoxville Rehab is a 57 bed inpatient hospital that resulted from an alliance between multiple healthcare providers in the area. This inpatient facility treats those who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, amputation, impairment, or illness such as stroke, brain injury, cardiovascular or pulmonary issues and neurological conditions. The facility has a 12-bed brain injury wing for more specialized care, a residential kitchen for relearning and adjusting necessary life skills and an impressive physical therapy gym.
