Hands-on learning engages both sides of the brain, significantly impacting information retention and encouraging critical thinking skills. This engineering lab, known by the CMDS community as the E-lab, is one of the most innovative makerspace projects we’ve been a part of.  The goal was to design and furnish a space that fostered creativity—a room where students could explore, build and experiment. Varia’s preliminary design work included drawings and photo realistic 3D renderings used for fundraising. The classroom tables include marker board tops, enabling students to brainstorm, take notes and record their findings.
